World Youth Forum 2022 in Egypt

The youth of Egypt is highly recognized in a diverse range of economic and social development pursuits, hence their active participation is enhanced through provision of new employment and job creation or infrastructural development of mega national improvement projects and land reclamation projects and availing of housing units in line with their economic status through social housing projects which are in place in almost all the governorates and also working towards preparing and encouraging them to undertake political executive and administrative functions in the governmental processes in Egypt.

Since President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi took office in 2014, he has understood that youth are the pillar of the Egyptian state, the basis of its strength, and its path towards advancement and progress, so he made sure to support them in all possible ways and forms. In 2016 (the Year of Youth), the President initiated a comprehensive conversation with Egyptian youth to learn about their concerns and aspirations.

The dialogue continues through effective and successful national conferences. In recent years, the state has shown a clear interest in youth, emphasizing their pioneering role, elevating their status and working on their presence as active parties and moving them from the spectator's seat to participating in making events, through the announcement by the political leadership of the first youth conference held in 2016 in Sharm El-Sheikh.

Immediately after the launch of that conference, the activities of the youth conferences also did not cease, rather they prolonged and grew in scope in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's dream of branding the Egyptian relationship with its youth to the extent of launching the World Youth Forum at the fourth conference which was held in Alexandria governorate.

Every year under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the World Youth Forum has become an international event whose purpose is to gather young people from different parts of the world to exchange views, tackle development challenges and voice a message of peace and prosperity on behalf of Egypt to the whole world. The United Nations Commission for Social Development has adopted the World Youth Forum in Egypt as an international platform to discuss youth issues, where youth from all over the world participate in a rich and youthful international forum to express their views and come up with recommendations and initiatives in the presence of an elite group of world leaders and leaders.

The Forum is an opportunity to connect with leading decision makers and thinkers from around the world, and a chance to meet a diverse group of promising young people from different nationalities around the world, young people who have the dream, will and determination to make a real difference in today's world and tomorrow's world.

Since its first edition in 2017, the forum aims to send a message of peace from Egypt to the world by discussing global issues, proposing recommendations and implementing many initiatives and projects on the ground. The United Nations Commission for Social Development has adopted the World Youth Forum in Egypt as an international platform to discuss youth issues.

The World Youth Forum's fourth edition

Under the theme "Coming Back Together," the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum was held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, from January 10–13, 2022. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended, and young people from 196 different nations participated.

Health care (the world after COVID), energy, youth concerns in the post-pandemic global job market, labor market changes, climate change and environmental protection, women's empowerment, anti-terrorism strategies, human rights advocacy, and developmental initiatives like the "Decent Life" initiative were all major but seemingly related topics on the agenda for the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum.
