The idea of ​​establishing it was initiated by the two artists and diplomat Abdelghani Abu El-Enein and his wife, Raya El-Nemr. The Siwan House Museum is made with the assistance of the Canadian Aid Agency. It is the center of the oasis in the style of old Siwan houses to shed light on the history of the Oasis.  It uses simple materials and the old techniques of the people of Siwa, which is (Kersheef), which is a mixture of sun-dried rock salt mixed with clay. This material preserves the temperatures inside the houses in both winter and summer at a moderate level, but the palm leaves are always the material used for the roofs.
