Port Said, the coastal city in northeastern Egypt, is a hidden treasure trove of exciting secrets and a favorite destination for travelers seeking relaxation, shopping, seafood restaurants, and local handicrafts, making it a favorite city for many visitors from all over Egypt and abroad.

Port Said is the only city in Egypt that has two ports, the old port or the West Port Said port and the other is the East Port Said port, which is the largest and most important port in Egypt and one of the most important pivotal ports in the world after implementing the largest development project in the history of ports in Egypt and extending its quays from 2 to 5.5 kilometers within the East Port Said development project.

The foundation stone for the port was laid in March 1999 and the first phase of the container terminal was opened in October 2004. Since the establishment of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, the port has been developed according to a master plan prepared by Dar Al-Handasah Company in 2015. The main features of the master plan are that the master plan considers East Port Said Port a major part of the integrated East Port Said area, which is built on an area of 145 km2.

It includes an industrial area of 63 km2, three logistics areas with a total area of 24 km2, a port that includes in the first phase 7.4 km of docks, a main port circulation circle with a diameter of 950 meters, and a total area of backyards totaling about 14 km2, including two container handling stations, a multi-purpose station, a clean dry bulk handling station, and a station specialized in Ro-Ro handling, in addition to providing marine services (receiving ship waste - ship supply, etc.)
