Alexandria Corniche
After a lot of classic outings in Alexandria, whether you went to its impressive museum, went to read books in the Biblioteca, or even visited some tourist attractions with the cruise and snorkelling tourism program.
But you will need to go to a nice place on the Mediterranean Sea and then sit quietly to see the splendour of the view in front of you, and you can also drink some delicious hot drinks or try some of the restaurants near the Corniche, and then take a selfie on the Nile in a beautiful city like Alexandria.
The Army Corniche, or the 26th of July Corniche, is considered a tourist attraction where everyone comes to sit at night, hang out with each other, and have a wonderful vacation time on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
The Corniche is located between El Gomrok and Montazah neighbourhoods, which is close to Qaitbay Citadel, making it a great place to reach anywhere in Alexandria more easily.
King Fuad I built this corniche in a century or so, but it took almost 10 years to complete. It may be more than that because this has been done in stages, not all at once. It was also interrupted by the English occupation, but it was later completed and finalized to reach between the Stanley area and the Montazah area, especially in Mandara.
This corniche remained that way until President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak came at the beginning of the 21st century to make the biggest improvements to this corniche since it was constructed during the era of Fouad I, as he expanded it to a larger size to help citizens pass through it more quickly.
So he had to bury some of the beaches, covering them in preparation for his plans to develop the Alexandria Corniche, which encouraged the president at the time to build the Stanley Bridge, one of the most important bridges in Egypt, which he built in a modern Renaissance style to reach between the Corniche and the other side of Stanley Gulf.
So, Alexandria, just as it has wonderful tourist and historical attractions, there are also constructions that you can go to to try something new without the historical atmosphere, too much information, and traditional things in tourist tours.
Where you can try different things, such as some Egyptian foods such as Hawawshi and Koshary, or drink hot hummus, or you can go to the amusement park or sit on the beach among your friends to enjoy the wonderful climate of Alexandria and many wonderful things that you must try in this wonderful city on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea
