Egypt and The Nile Luxury Trip

You will start the day with a delicious breakfast served in the hotel's main restaurant before meeting your personal tour guide who will take you on your very first Cairo tour, and the destination is the pyramids of Giza built 4500 years ago.

Get your visit started at the Great Pyramid of Cheops, which was built over 20 years, then you will visit the pyramids of kings Chephren and Mycerinus, all of them belonging to the same dynasty. Next, you will see the renowned Sphinx, the lion with a human head that protected the Necropolis for 450 years. Now, we will ascend the plateau to have a panoramic view of the pyramids and take fantastic pictures on the back of a camel while enjoying it (an optional activity). After that, your guide will lead you to the Valley Temple of King Chephren, which was dedicated to the Pharaoh's mummification process, and which is made of granite from Aswan and covered with stunning white alabaster. Then, your tour guide along with your private driver will take you to visit the Egyptian Museum, which holds the largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian artifacts in the world, especially the royal treasure found intact, the collection of the Golden Pharaoh Tutankhamen, whose tomb in the Valley of the Kings was discovered by the famous British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922.

The next stop will be at the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon, the Hanging Church, which was built on ancient towers, and the church of St. Sergio, which is also known for its beauty. Sergius, which is also known as the Church of the Cave or the Church of the Holy Family, is built over the crypt where the Holy Family waited for almost 3 months by the well from which they obtained their water reserves. Your tour of Coptic Cairo extends until we visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, believed to be the site of the castle where Moses' box was pulled from the Nile by the pharaoh's daughter.

After lunch, you will be escorted to Islamic Cairo where you will see the walls and gates of the medieval city built by the Fatimid leader Badr Al Gamali and the ancient, narrow streets filled with colorful stores from the 10th century. You will go as far as to have mint tea in Al-Fishawy (one of the oldest coffee shops in Khan El Khalili Bazaar) during your excursion to Islamic Cairo.

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will check out of your hotel for a transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor. There, our representatives will meet and assist you as they do on all of our Egypt day tours or wherever you are going with our Egypt tour packages. You are then going to transfer to the Steinberger MS Minerva luxury Nile cruise ship where your 5-star Nile cruise begins. After your first lunch on board, the eastern shore of Luxor will be visited: the Karnak Temple, the world’s largest religious man-made center will be the first stop, then the magnificent Luxor Temple that will have some very beautiful light coming from it at night, hence the grandeur at its height will be captured. Imagine how wealthy the ancient Egyptians were to build such colossal structures just for the purpose of worshipping their gods 3800 years ago.

After the eastern shore of Luxor tour, you will be taken back to the ship and shortly thereafter dinner will be served.

Have a lovely buffet breakfast on your Nile cruise and be ready for your Egyptologist guide who will take you to the west bank of Luxor where you will see the two giant statues of Amenhotep III known as the Colossi of Memnon, and then the tour will continue with the visit to the Valley of the Kings which is considered the royal cemetery of the New Kingdom with over 62 pharaohs buried there including Tutankhamun and the great Ramses II. The tombs are hewn out of the rock, richly adorned with stunning wall paintings, and stocked with gold and other items that the rulers intended to use during their afterlife. Your Luxor day touring will also include the Temple of Hatshepsut, better known as El Deir El Bahari, the first woman to rule in ancient Egypt.

After a nice lunch, you will move to Edfu by boat where dinner and the show on deck will be your entertainment for the evening.

After enjoying a breakfast in the main restaurant of the Nile Cruise, Oriental-style once more, get a visit to the Ptolemaic period, the Edfu Temple with the more god Horus, the falcon-headed, the well-preserved temple. The excursion continues with a sail to Kom Ombo, where the visit will be made to the enchanting Temple of Kom Ombo, which is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. Lunch will be served while cruising, and then the ship will set sail for Aswan before dinner, where you will stay overnight on the luxury Nile cruise that you have chosen.

Starting your day off with a delightful breakfast on board a cruise on the Nile while exploring the marvels of Aswan.

Elements of great structural engineering feats are highlighted from Aswan to the High Dam, one of the modernist projects of Egypt's history. Prying their way out into peaceful surrounds on the Nile and impacting the overland economy, the Nile has indeed been tamed.

Following your time at the Temple of Philae for Isis, located on its own island, Testament to the best way to impress, the boat represents the last hope for spontaneous perception.

In the tour, a visit to the largest obelisk in the quarries in Aswan, the Unfinished Obelisk, awaits. The Obelisk, a shadow of its former self, gives insight into the incredible engineering which the ancient Egyptian craftsmen used for stone.

At the end of an exhaustive day spent in the exploration of these outstanding historical sites, guests will come back on board for an enjoyable dinner followed by an overnight stay.

An extra cost tour to the iconic temples of Abu Simbel awaits those who want a comprehensive experience. On this day, you will have an opportunity to witness the breathtaking giant statues of Ramses II and the beautiful temple dedicated to his wife, Nefertari.

Start your day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel and enjoy some leisure time. Afterward, you can choose from one of the daily tours available in Cairo. Later, you'll be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your departure.
