Your Egypt Desert Safari Packages adventure begins bright and early at 6:00 AM when Cairo Top Tours picks you up from your hotel. You'll head out towards Alamein on Egypt's North Coast, a journey of about three hours with breaks along the way to enjoy some coffee. Upon arrival, you'll dive into history with a guided tour of the World War II Museum, where you'll learn about the significant battles that took place in Alamein, complete with detailed accounts of the armies involved and the heavy toll on young soldiers.
The tour also includes visits to the Commonwealth Cemetery, where you can pay your respects to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives, as well as the Australian, Italian, and German memorial cemeteries. After this moving experience, you'll continue your journey with a two-hour drive to Marsa Matrouh, where you'll enjoy a delicious oriental lunch at a reputable local restaurant. The day concludes with your arrival at Siwa Oasis, where you'll check in at your eco-lodge. After some rest, and time permitting, you can unwind with a dip in one of the natural hot springs to soothe your muscles after a day of travel.
Overnight at a hotel in Siwa Oasis.
Meals: Lunch.
Begin your Siwa day with a true Egyptian breakfast at your hotel. Set your feet in town and visit the historic Shali Fortress, built in the 13th century as unique architecture of mud, salt, and clay. Very much damaged partly with the 1930s rains but still the distinguishing structure in town. Visit then the Temple of Alexander The Great, another name for the Temple of the Oracle of Amun, where Alexander confirmed his divine heritage. A brief walk to the Um Ubayda ruins: Temple of Amun, devastatingly broken down and mostly rubble-filled during 1869, adds interest to your Siwan culture tour. Alternatively, the Siwan House, a museum with wonders on Siwan cultures and customs, shall consume your otherwise pleasurable hour.
Later, lunch is altogether at any local restaurant and then you will relax at the springwater pool, Ein Guba, where the thermal waters are laced with minerals. Return to your hotel for overnight.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.
Your day that would begin at the lodge with a good breakfast will lead you straight to a Siwa Desert Safari. Your first escapade is through the fields to Maraki Village, waiting for your discovery. At Great Siwa Mountain on hum-inscribed rocks of the oldest monde, another of your exceptional event.
You will traverse more dunes and arrive at an intriguing fossil area where ancient rocky coral reefs and traces of things are from the Cambrian period. After that, you'll move on to one of the three sand seas: the Great Sand Sea, third in line for the largest formation of sand. Hop on a jeep for a charming safari trip, with an amazing visit to the desert oasis lake in its dune expanse-where you are more than welcome to go swimming with gentle bars of craggy Tilapia-a climactic non-starter!
For an extra thrill, try your hand at Sandboarding. Although it may not be as speedy as snowboarding, a bit of wax on the board allows you to glide down the towering dunes for an exciting experience.
Relax at Bir Wahid, or Well Number One, source of the commercial hot spring bath and tourist attraction named after Sidi Ashmouri. Spend a blissful day soaking in its healing waters before tranquilizing yourself at a magical sunset on the giant Sand Sea under a mane-colored sky.
Overnight in Siwa.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.
Start off your day with breakfast at the Eco-lodge. Then go out to admire the ancient rock-cut tombs located on the gorgeous Mountain of the Dead (Gabal El Mauta). The area is rich in the tombs of the rulers of Siwa during the 26th Dynasty, including the Tomb of Si Amon and the Crocodile Tomb, known for its wonderfuloriginal painted crocodiles, yet with no known indication of their original owner.
Then travel to the Bedouin village of Abu Ali to experience some traditional Bedouin life with the surreal echo effect found within the valley-like mountains.
Take a return to Siwa to visit the well-known Dakrour Mountain, host of annual festivities during full October moons, where inhabitants throng down for the Tourism Festival.
When darkness begins to spread, make your way to the calm Fitnas Island to enjoy a beautiful view of the sunset and sip a drink of the local brew; capture it forever with pickup shots before you go back to the town, ending in your cozy lodge for the night.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.
After an early morning meal in Siwa, you will be transported back to Cairo. On arrival, check in at your hotel for the night while preparing for your next journey: an early start the following day towards Bahariya Oasis.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch.
Collect your belongings and set out early from Cairo to Bahariya Oasis, and have lunch prepared to savor while on the road. Your next exciting activity is to climb up the Black Mountain in a 4wd Jeep to visit the remains of the English House, from where you will enjoy a colorful sunset over the oasis with the salt lake as a backdrop, framed by thick palm groves.
Another interesting site worth visiting is the Museum of the Golden Mummies. Here, you can see mummies of the Greco-Roman mummies buried lavishly with gold. Next up is the excursion to the rock-cuted tombs for nobles at Qasr Sleem, the elaborate carved burial chambers of Zed-Amun-Ef-Ankh and Bannentiu, followed by the Temple of Ain El Muftella, which is dedicated to the god Bes who was worshipped in Egypt since ancient times, and the ancient Temple of Alexander the Great, which is one of the most prominent ruins left in Bahariya.
Continue to the breathtaking landscapes of the Black Desert with its volcano-like mountains and the tiny black rocks of El Haize Valley, where its ideal spring has been appreciated. At Crystal Mountain, have a stop to admire the shining quartz before continuing to the enchanting Agabat Valley.
At the end of the day, set up camp in the White Desert, while your guides prepare a delicious dinner for all of you, relishing the mesmeric sunset. Camp overnight under this fantastic star.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.
On the following morning, start your day with breakfast at the campsite before heading to a soothing International Hot Springs . Here, you can unwind and enjoy the serene, warm waters. Afterward, you'll journey back to Bahariya Oasis and then continue your drive back to Cairo.
