Our first stop is the pyramids of Giza. The Giza Pyramids are home to the three main pyramids, they are built for the pharaohs of Egypt’s Fourth Dynasty, and the Great Sphinx. The first pyramid is the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops). It is the largest and oldest of the three, and it was built around 2580 BC. It is standing 146.6 meters (481 feet) tall, and it was the tallest structure on Earth for over 3,800 years. The second pyramid is The Pyramid of Khafre (Chephren), and the third one is The Pyramid of Menkaure (Mykerinos). Also, see the Great Sphinx, which is a huge monument with a pharaoh's head and a lion's body.
