The Green Destination Standards are one of the advanced means of measuring, monitoring and improving the sustainability approach in different destinations around the world, stressing that different tourist sites seek to obtain this certificate to be able to commit to a sustainable management approach to ensure overcoming the challenges in managing these tourist destinations by complying with UNWTO standards and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
