Your day excursion begins when you are picked up from your accommodation in Soma Bay and driven to Luxor. After reaching, check-in to hotel and begin the tour of Luxor East Bank, where you will witness some of the infamous places in Egypt.
The first stop will be Karnak Temple which is the great ancient Egyptian temple ever constructed. It dates back around 1400BC during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II and is made up of four large vents (gateways) that are oriented on a primary axis. The temple is situated to the god Amon-Re and contains many open- aired halls and courtyards supported with columns.
Then you will be directed to the Temple of Luxor, which was originally constructed by King Ramses II on the west bank of Luxor as a component of his mortuary complex. This temple is found in Western Thebes, built in the honor of king Amun-Ra by king Amenhotep III. It is among the biggest temples of Egypt and also a major highlight during any tour in Luxor.
Subsequently, you will break for lunch at a nearby restaurant close to Luxor Temple. Then, after lunch, you will proceed to start the Luxor west bank tour which will be a lot of fun. You will visit the Valley of the Kings and Queens, where royalty was buried alongside temples pertaining to the likes of Isis and Osiris.
In addition, you will also visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, who was one of the only two female pharaohs in the long history of Egypt (the other was Nefertiti). During the 18th dynasty around 1479 B.C. she reigned and this temple was built in her honor circa 1375 B.C. The rest of the tour is up to you—go shopping or visit a few more places on your own before heading back to your hotel in Soma Bay that night.
