Tour to Pyramids, Egyptian Museum and Felucca Ride

Overview

Trip to Pyramids, Egyptian Museum and Felucca Ride

This tour invites you to discover the splendors of ancient Egypt and begins in Cairo, the birthplace of the pyramids...From the breathtaking Giza Plateau to modern Cairo, you discover a thousand-year-old culture. Take a trip with us and discover the rich history and significant occasions of the museum. Embark on a cognitive tour to learn about the museum's architectural, historical, scientific and cultural values. The museum's importance stems from the fact that it was the first museum in the Middle East and North Africa to be established as a museum, as the practice at the time was to convert palaces into museums. In addition, it houses a unique collection of Egyptian antiquities worldwide.

Similar to how the ancient Egyptians did thousands of years ago, sail down the longest river in the world. You can see feluccas along the Nile Corniche, the main road that runs along the Nile River. Their bright white sails rise and their simple hulls are moored on the Nile Corniche in front of the shiny, glossy shops and restaurants lining the banks of the Nile...They are called feluccas, and according to many, a trip to Cairo is incomplete without a river cruise on a felucca.

Itinerary

Enjoy a journey with us among thepyramids , who considered them a source of resurrection rather than mere graves. Take a tour with your guide to learn the hieroglyphics and legends associated with this guardian. The driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the entrance of the Pyramids. Your guide will then take you to the first pyramid. The antiquities of the Fourth Dynasty indicate the increasing central power of the state during the rule of this dynasty, as the king became the point around which all matters of ancient Egyptian society revolved.

Our guide will share with you more important information about that era and the ancient Egyptian religion that led to the construction of these towering buildings, then you will move with him to the pyramid of Khafre and Menkaure to learn about these great kings and their politics as each one's politics differ from the other. The penultimate destination will be the Sphinx. With its human head and lion's body, the Sphinx of Giza is a therianthropic statue, that is, a statue that completely or partially transforms a human being into an animal. This representation is unusual in Egypt. The gods are generally represented inversely with a human body and an animal's head.

We will visit the Egyptian Museum after lunch at a restaurant with a view of the pyramids. It was inaugurated in 1902 and has continued to grow ever since. From the initial 12,000 pieces with which it was inaugurated, the collection now has 150,000 objects that do not fit in the current building, which is why work has been underway for years on the construction of a new building that is expected to open in late 202 or early 2023 and aims to be the largest archaeological museum in the world.

These long wooden sailing boats carried everything from pharaohs to military forces to food and supplies.

Their construction was considered a real miracle, given the small number of large trees available at the time.

24%

Workers compensated for this by tying together a series of reeds and small wooden planks and covering the entire structure with a piece of tar-coated cloth. They then added a wooden mast and a sail made of cotton or linen to propel the boat with the wind, along with a set of oars to serve as an alternative means of navigation when the wind stopped. Enjoy a pleasant trip on the Nile before your journey ends and you return to your accommodation.
