Itinerary

When you arrive at Cairo airport, our tour leader will be there to meet you. They'll escort you to your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle and help you check in smoothly. After that, you can relax and spend the night at the hotel, getting ready for the exciting journey that awaits you the next day.

After breakfast, your guide will take you on a tour of the city's top sights. You'll visit the Egyptian Museum, which has a vast collection of ancient artifacts. Then, you'll head to the Great Pyramid of Cheops, one of the most famous and popular tourist attractions in ancient Egyptian history. If you have enough time, you can explore inside or take some pictures from a nearby spot.

Next, you'll visit the three Giza pyramids and see the pyramid of King Khafre and the smallest pyramid of Giza, the pyramid of Mycerinus. You'll also get an up-close look at the Great Sphinx, one of the most well-known sphinxes in the world.

Get ready for an exciting day! After breakfast, you'll head to Luxor, a charming town located in the Nile Valley, just 420 miles south of Cairo. Once you arrive, you'll hop on a cruise ship and enjoy a leisurely Nile cruise.

Karnak Temple, one of Egypt's most significant and ancient ruins, is definitely worth visiting while in Luxor. It was erected around 1400 BCE, during the Middle Kingdom and New Kingdom periods. After exploring the temple, you'll head back to the cruise ship for lunch and spend the night on board.

Get ready for another exciting day! After breakfast, you'll continue your Nile journey by exploring the west bank of the river. You'll visit the Valley of the Kings and see the impressive rock-cut tombs built for kings and wealthy nobles from the 16th to 11th centuries BCE.

Next, you'll see the remains of Amenhotep's memorial temple near the Colossi of Memnon, which are two tall sculptures of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These sculptures were built to protect the temple entrance and are the only remains still standing today.

The next stop on your journey will be Deir el-Bahri, a collection of mortuary temples and tombs dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut.

After your sightseeing, you can relax and enjoy your cruise to Esna while on board the ship.

Following breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up for a visit to two important temples: Edfu and Kom Ombo. These temples were constructed between 237 and 57 BCE, and your guide will provide further insight into their significance. The Temple of Horus in Edfu is one of the best-preserved sanctuaries in Egypt, with many of its inscriptions still visible today. The Temple of Sobek and Haroeris in Kom Ombo was dedicated to the crocodile deity Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris, and its walls are adorned with carvings, statues, and intact courts, halls, sanctuaries, and chambers. After touring the temples, you will return to your Nile cruise.

Once your Nile cruise arrives in Aswan, you'll have a chance to explore the city and its attractions. One of the main highlights is the Aswan High Dam, built in the 1960s, which quadrupled Egypt's electrical supply at the time and remains a significant achievement.

You'll also visit Philae Temple, originally dedicated to the goddess Isis and built around 690 BCE. Due to the construction of the Aswan High Dam, the temple complex was relocated from Philae Island to Agilkia Island.

To end your day, you'll visit the beautiful Botanical Garden on Kitchener's Island in the Aswan archipelago. Afterward, you'll return to your Nile cruise.

It's time to leave the Nile cruise ship and fly to Cairo on a connecting flight. Once you arrive, you'll have the afternoon to yourself to explore or relax. You can go sightseeing, shopping, try some Egyptian food at an outdoor café, or just take it easy.

After spending the night in Cairo, you'll head to Alexandria the next day to continue your journey.

After breakfast, you'll fly to Alexandria and meet your tour guide at the airport. You'll be taken to your hotel, where a local Egyptologist will give you a tour of the city's history and important landmarks.

You'll visit the Roman Amphitheater and the Kom El Shoqafa Catacombs, the largest Roman graveyards in Egypt that were accidentally discovered in the 1960s. The Roman amphitheater has thirteen marble seats and can hold up to 800 spectators.

Finally, you'll visit the Alexandria National Museum, which is located in the former mansion of tycoon Asaad Bassili and features over 1,800 objects from Egypt's history.

After breakfast, your tour guide will take you to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina to learn about one of the most important intellectual centers of ancient times. Then, you'll visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, which was built on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea in the 15th century by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qa'it Bay.

We'll start the day with breakfast and then take a long drive from Alexandria to Siwa to explore the Egyptian Western Desert. Since the journey will take several hours, we won't have many specific plans for the day.

However, we'll make a stop at the El Alamein War Museum and Cemetery, which is a significant landmark that honors the Battles of El Alamein (1942) and World War II. Afterward, we'll have dinner and spend the night in Siwa, where you can relax and enjoy your evening.

After breakfast, you'll get to explore the Siwa Oasis and visit the Berber communities. Your guide will show you some of the most important places in Siwa, like the Mountain of the Dead, where you can see tombs from different eras like the 26th dynasty, Ptolemaic era, and Roman era.

You can also take a dip in one of the refreshing oasis springs at the Cleopatra Bath. To learn more about the local culture and customs, you can visit the Oracle Temple, a temple that dates back to the 6th century BCE during the 26th dynasty, and the Siwan House, which is a museum located in a historic home.

Before heading back to Siwa for the evening, you can take a quick detour to Fatnas Island to catch a beautiful sunset.

For a unique and memorable experience, you can continue your exploration of the Siwa Oasis region. You'll have the opportunity to visit the Shali Fortress, which is a ruined mud-brick fortress from the thirteenth century with stunning views over the oasis.

Afterward, you can embark on a desert safari excursion to explore sand dunes, petrified trees, fossilized seashells, lakes, and springs. It's an adventure you won't want to miss. To end the day, you can enjoy a traditional Bedouin meal and stay overnight in Siwa.

Today, you have the flexibility to choose your own adventure. You can make some stops along the way from Siwa to Cairo based on your interests. Once you arrive in Cairo and check into your hotel, you can spend the rest of the day exploring the area. You can visit museums, go shopping, try local food, or relax and enjoy the sunset over the Nile River.

After breakfast, you'll head to Cairo International Airport to begin your journey back home.
