Itinerary
Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 8:00 am to start your half-day tour of the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx. You'll visit the Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or Cheops, the oldest and only intact survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Next, you'll head to the Pyramid of Khafre or Chephren, the second largest of the three ancient pyramids in Giza.
You'll also visit the Pyramid of Mykerinus and the King Chephren Valley Temple, where you can get a closer look at the Great Sphinx, a legendary guardian with the head of a king and the body of a lion. You can also take a camel ride near the pyramids.
Next, you'll visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses over 250,000 authentic artifacts dating back over 5000 years. There's a special exhibit for Tutankhamen, After that, you'll visit the Saladin Citadel, built in 1183 AD by Salah al-Din to protect himself from Crusader soldiers. You'll see mosques and museums, including the Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha, and enjoy expansive views of Cairo.
Lunch will be served at a restaurant in Old Cairo, where you can visit landmarks such as the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, and Church of Abu Serga, one of the oldest Coptic churches in Cairo.
Finally, you'll explore Khan el-Khalili, one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East, and learn about the labyrinthine network of alleys that have served as Cairo's commercial hub since the 14th century. We'll then return you to your Cairo hotel for the night.
Your tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Cairo or Giza and drive you approximately 350 kilometers east to the Bahariya Oasis. The journey takes around four hours to reach the White Desert and Bahariya Oasis. Upon arrival at Bahariya Oasis, you'll meet your safari guide, board a 4x4 Jeep, and begin your adventure.
You'll drive through the barren desert, which is covered in a thin layer of black powder that gives it its name. Lunch will be provided at El Haize Oasis, which is about 37 kilometers from Bawiti. Before lunch, you can relax by taking a dip in the hot spring, which provides natural muscle relaxation and promotes tranquility and peace.
On the way back, you'll stop at Crystal Mountain, also known as Gebel al-Izzaz, which is covered in quartzite crystals that sparkle in the sunlight, giving it the nickname "the Jewel of the Desert." You'll then arrive at the Valley of Agabat, located in the center of the White Desert, where you'll witness the unique limestone rock formations that have emerged over millions of years.
You'll explore the desert by sandboarding and a 4x4 Jeep tour of Wadi el Agabat. Then, you'll visit the White Desert National Park, the most famous desert region in Egypt, where you'll see various limestone rock formations that resemble animals such as camels, mushrooms, a tent, and a sphinx.
Finally, you'll make your way back to your Cairo accommodation.
Your private tour of Alexandria from Cairo starts at 7:00 am, and you'll be picked up by an Egyptologist who will take you 220 kilometers northwest to Alexandria.
First, you'll visit the Alexandria Catacombs, where the Kom el Shoqafa catacomb was built in the second century AD to house the deceased for 200 years. Alexandria has a rich history blending diverse civilizations
Next, you'll see Pompey Pillar, a red granite column that might have been built to honor Diocletian the Great. It's now the tallest ancient structure in Alexandria
After that, you'll explore the Qeitbay Citadel, a stunning Islamic structure built in the 15th century to protect the city from Crusaders. after that You'll have lunch at an Egyptian restaurant. Your next destination is the Library of Alexandria, a beautiful building that combines art, history, philosophy, and science.
Finally, you'll return to your hotel in Cairo for the night.
After having breakfast at your Cairo hotel, our tour leader will pick you up and help you check out. Then, you will be transferred to the Cairo International Airport.
