Itinerary

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, we'll handle all the required procedures and luggage identification for you. Then, you'll be chauffeured in a private car from the airport to your hotel for check-in.

After you've checked in, take some time to relax. Later in the evening, we'll pick you up from the hotel and take you on a Nile dinner cruise. You'll savor a delectable dinner while admiring the picturesque Nile scenery and being entertained by a talented folkloric band.

After breakfast, your tour guide will accompany you to explore some of Cairo's most popular tourist attractions, starting with the Giza Pyramids Complex. Built during the 4th dynasty around 2400 years ago, the complex features stunning pyramids, including the Great Pyramid, which is the oldest and largest of the trio. King Khufu was its owner, and it took 20 years and 2,300,000 stones to construct the 147-meter-tall pyramid. The complex also includes the Valley Temple, a massive sphinx, and six smaller pyramids.

We'll then move on to the Great Sphinx, which is the world's largest statue at 73 meters long, 19 meters wide, and 20 meters tall. It belonged to King Chephren and is one of the earliest significant sculptures ever created.

If you're interested in ancient Egyptian mummification, you can visit the Valley Temple, the only remaining granite temple of its kind on the Giza plateau.

For lunch, we'll take you to a restaurant that offers stunning views of the Pyramids or the Nile.

Afterward, we'll visit the Step Pyramid of Saqqara, which dates back to the reign of King Djoser in the 27th century BC. It's fascinating to contemplate how this structure was built using cut stone, with six steps stacked on top of one another to create a 62-meter-tall pyramid.

Our next stop is the City of Memphis, the first Egyptian capital and a significant center between Upper and Lower Egypt. The city was protected by the god Ptah, making it a vital destination for ancient Egyptians.

Finally, we'll return you to your hotel for the night.

Your tour guide will meet you at your accommodation and take you to visit:

Our first stop will be the Egyptian Museum, which houses an impressive collection of artwork spanning 5000 years. There are around 250,000 authentic artifacts on display, including a display of Tutankhamun's wealth, gold, and jewelry collection, which was preserved in his tomb for over 3500 years.

We'll provide lunch at a nearby Cairo restaurant before continuing the tour.

Next, we'll visit the Citadel of Salah El Din, which was once Egypt's administrative center until the 1860s and is massive in scale. It was built during Salah Al-Din's rule, and construction began in 1176, finishing in 1182.

Afterward, we'll visit the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, also known as "The Alabaster Mosque." It was constructed between 1820 and 1838, and the majority of its walls are made of pure alabaster. The Muhammad Ali Mosque is a replica of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.

We'll then head to the Khan El Khalili Market, the oldest and most well-known market in the Middle East, built around 970 AD, the same year Cairo was founded.

At the end of the day, we'll take you back to your Cairo hotel for the night.

After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and head to Cairo Airport to catch a flight to Luxor. Once you meet your Egyptologist tour guide, you can continue your Egypt Easter vacation by visiting the city's famous attractions, beginning with:

First, explore the Temple of Karnak, which offers the most stunning scenery in Egypt and is the world's largest temple complex. It's the result of the work of several pharaohs and ancient builders and consists of three main buildings spread over 247 acres of land.

Afterward, you'll transfer to your Nile cruise for lunch and some rest before heading out with your tour guide to see the Luxor Temple at night.

Second, visit the Luxor Temple, which was the focal point of the Opet Festival, the most significant festival in ancient Egypt. The temple, primarily built by Amenhotep III and King Rameses II, was the site of festival rituals whose aim was to balance the ruler's divine and earthly aspects.

Afterward, return to your Luxor Nile cruise for the night.

After breakfast on your Nile cruise, your Egypt Easter vacation will conclude with a tour of the significant attractions on Luxor's west bank, including:

First, visit the Valley of the Kings, which is the final resting place for Egyptian kings from the 18th to the 20th dynasties. There are several tombs there, including those of renowned pharaoh Ramses II and young pharaoh Tutankhamun, and almost all of the funerary ornamentation has survived, including an abundance of every material item a king may desire in the afterlife.

Next, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most beautiful and well-preserved temples from ancient Egypt. The temple had three levels, and in the center, two wide ramps joined them.

Afterward, we'll visit the Colossi of Memnon, the only remaining elements of a complete burial temple for King Amenhotep III. The two gigantic stone statues are made of quartzite sandstone fragments found near Cairo and transported 700 kilometers to Luxor for use in the sculptures.

After taking a break for lunch, spend the night on your Nile cruise.

After having breakfast on board the ship, you'll head to the Kom Ombo Temple, which offers a stunning view of the Nile. The temple is unique because it comprises two distinct temples, each with its own hypostyle halls, sanctuaries, and entrances.

Next, continue your journey to the Edfu Temple, which is dedicated to the Egyptian god Horus. It's the best-preserved Greco-Roman building in Egypt and features a "Play" that depicts Horus defeating Seth on its walls.

In the afternoon, you'll sail to Aswan and spend the night on the ship.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet on your Egypt Nile cruise, and then meet your personal tour guide for the day's Aswan excursions as follows:

First, visit the High Dam, which protected Egypt from Nile floods that previously submerged the country for months due to water waste. Aswan, Egypt's southernmost city, is located nearly 1,000 kilometers from Cairo and sits at the first Nile Falls.

Next, see the Incomplete Obelisk, which ancient Egyptians used to cut and transport granite from the quarries when building the pyramids, large temples, enormous pillars, and obelisks, especially during the New Kingdom.

Continue your Aswan sightseeing by visiting the Philae Temple, one of the four sites where the myth of Isis, Osiris, and Horus occurred. It was constructed and dedicated to the worship of the goddess Isis.

In the evening, enjoy a quality dinner served on board the cruise boat and witness an engaging Nubian show before spending the night in Aswan after being transferred back to the ship and enjoying your lunch. Your meals for the day will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

After enjoying breakfast in the morning, we'll check out from our accommodation, but not before visiting the Temples of Abu Simbel, which are considered the finest buildings from ancient Egypt due to their unique architecture. King Ramses II built the rock-cut temples around 1200 B.C., with the first temple honoring King Ramses II and the second temple honoring his beloved wife Queen Nefertari. Both temples feature exquisite sculptures and artwork throughout, including meticulously hand-carved pillars, statues, sculptures, and wall paintings that are a must-see.

After breakfast, we'll head to the Aswan airport to catch a flight to Cairo and then transfer to your place of lodging just to have breakfast.

We'll check out after breakfast in the morning, but not before we visit
