Itinerary

At the terminal of Cairo International Airport, a Cairo Top Tours representative will be waiting for you with a signboard bearing your name. You will be driven in a luxury air-conditioned car to the hotel in Cairo. The schedule for the full six days in Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan Your tour manager will assist you in updating this document to ensure that all of the pick-up times for your Christmas tours in Egypt are confirmed.

We may arrange for a two-hour Nile Cruise Dinner for you if you're arriving in Cairo ahead of schedule. You'll enjoy an oriental entertainment display throughout supper, which will include a Tanoura dance show and belly dancing.

With excitement and passion in your heart, rise early and have breakfast at the hotel. Then, meet your personal Egyptologist and driver, who will take you on a tour of the Giza Pyramids, Memphis, and the Saqqara Necropolis.

The Giza Pyramids are the first stop on any sightseeing tour of Cairo. These three enormous structures in the necropolis of Giza, which the Greek historians dubbed the "pyramids," were constructed as the tombs of the kings and rulers of ancient Egypt, but in this case, they are the tombs of a father, a son, and a grandson. The Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid are located in Dahshur. King Cheops's father, King Cheops, built the massive pyramid after witnessing his great father build four other enormous pyramids. Despite this, King Cheops was able to build a pyramid that no one has ever built or will ever be able to compare to, as it is the only surviving monument from the ancient Seven Wonders of the World.

Because it was built on a higher plateau than his father's, you can tell that his pyramid is enormous even from a distance. His son Chephren (known as Kharfa in ancient Egyptian language) built his pyramid somewhat smaller out of respect for his father.

A fantastic opportunity to rent a one-hour camel ride at the Giza Pyramids before descending to see the Great Sphinx within the pyramid complex of the great King Chephren, you will get a panoramic view of the three pyramids dating back as far as the 4th dynasty during the old kingdom of ancient Egypt history, as divided by the great historian Mentho into 30 ruling families. Ancient Egyptian pharaohs frequently utilised this mythological animal statue, which has a lion's body and a man's head. The Greeks then adopted the idea of making symbolic mythological statues for warriors and emperors. See the Valley Temple as well, which was constructed solely as a mummification temple for the body of the king before burial.

Our Cairo day tours will now take us to the ancient city of Memphis, which served as Egypt's capital for the first time after King Menes united the kingdoms of Upper and Lower Egypt. Today, the area is home to an outdoor museum that features numerous artefacts from various pharaonic eras, most notably the enormous statue of King Ramses II and the massive alabaster sphinx of Memphis.

If you are hungry, eat your lunch now. If not, we can have our Egyptian lunch as soon as our day tours of Egypt come to an end at Saqqara, the ancient kingdom necropolis. Here is where the first stone pyramid was found, approximately 200 years before the pyramid of Cheops, or 4670 years ago, during the reign of the great King Djoser's third dynasty. The Step Pyramid was cut out of granite and measures 62 metres tall with six stepped tiers, beginning with a square foundation and the burial chamber underneath it.

The ticket also includes entry inside the pyramid of Teti, one of the monarchs of the 6th dynasty, which we will also see. His son-in-law, Kagemni, has an impressive tomb that is regarded as one of the best-preserved noble tombs in Saqqara. The scenes engraved therein reveal a great deal about the everyday activities of the ancient Egyptians.

When our excursions of Cairo are over, we head back to the hotel.

Lunch and breakfast are served.

Following breakfast, your tour guide will drive you to the Cairo airport so you may board your Aswan-bound aircraft. Our certified tour guide will meet you at the airport in Aswan and take you to begin your adventures in Aswan. First, you will see the magnificent High Dam of Aswan, which is one of the greatest engineering feats in modern Egyptian history and sits between Egypt and Sudan. Next, you will see the Unfinished Obelisk, located inside the granite quarries where the ancient Egyptians cut and transported the stones needed to build their enormous funeral structures and cult temples. The obelisk was constructed during Queen Hatshepsut's reign and was made from a single stone.

After that, you'll go to the Temple of Philae, which was constructed to honour Isis, the goddess of magic. The temple was constructed by Ptolemy II and finished by the Roman Emperors.

After your delicious lunch, you will be driven to your hotel in Aswan for check-in and the night.

Lunch and breakfast are served.

After breakfast, you will be accompanied by your tour leader to the airport in Cairo and catch your flight heading to Aswan. At Aswan airport, our certified tour guide will pick up you to start your excursions in Aswan by visiting the great High Dam of Aswan which is positioned between Egypt and Sudan and is considered of the greatest accomplishments of the modern history of Egypt, then you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk within the granite quarries where ancient Egyptians cut and transported the stones they used in building their massive funeral buildings and cult temples, the obelisk was made from a single piece of stone during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut. Then you will visit the Temple of Philae, which was built to worship the goddess of Magic, Isis. Ptolemy II built the temple and the Roman Emperors completed it.

You will be taken to Luxor to have your tour of the east and west banks after enjoying your sumptuous breakfast at the hotel. The east bank tour begins with an exploration of the Karnak Temple complex, which was constructed by several kings and was referred to as Ipet Isu, or the most select of sites. The temple, the biggest place of worship ever built, served as the focal point of Egyptian religion when Luxor (Thebes) was the country's capital during the establishment of the new kingdom.

Experience the west bank of Luxor tours to continue your Luxor excursions. Here, you will see the royal necropolis in the Valley of the Kings, where the treasures of Egypt's divine rulers were interred alongside them in rock-cut tombs next to the mountain. One of the most important tombs found here is King Tutankhamen's, which contains all of the golden artefacts.

Continue your Luxor sightseeing tours to see the enormous statues of King Amenhotep III, who was the first to begin building the Temple of Luxor. You should also visit the Queen Hatshepsut Mortuary Temple, which was constructed during her reign by the brilliant architect Senmout. The temple is dedicated to the worship of Amun's trinity.

After lunch, make your way to the Luxor airport to catch your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and taken to the hotel where you will spend the night and check in.

Lunch and breakfast are served.

After enjoying your hotel's buffet breakfast, start your exploration of Cairo with the Egyptian Museum tour. Your personal tour guide will take you to the well-known Tahrir Square in the downtown area of Cairo to witness the magnificent artefacts from ancient Egypt on display both inside and outside the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, a structure that was constructed in the 19th century thanks to the tireless efforts of renowned archaeologist Francois Auguste Mariette. View King Tutankhamen's golden collection, which includes sarcophagi, jewellery, beds, chariots, boxes, the throne, and the young king's golden mask.

The Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary, which was built on the ruins of the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon, has the main nave and two side aisles with the original pulpit in the middle. You can also see the crypt where the holy virgin Mary and the infant Jesus Christ took refuge for three months below the cavern church of Abu Serga. After that, you will be taken to the Old Cairo area to see the oldest Christian churches. Proceed with your tour of Coptic Cairo and pay a visit to the Synagogue of Ben Ezra. Originally a Coptic church, it was later sold to cover the high taxes levied against the Christian community.

After a delicious lunch at a fine dining establishment, head to Khan El Khalili's historic market. Here, you may explore the Islamic neighbourhood of Cairo and buy mementos for your friends to remind them of how enjoyable your tours of the city were.

Returning to the Cairo hotel for the night.

Lunch and breakfast are served.

You will have breakfast at the hotel this morning and then be driven to the airport for your last flight out. If you have enough time, you can reserve an exciting dawn camel ride at the Giza Pyramids.
