Itinerary
After clearing customs at Cairo International Airport, a manager of Cairo Top Tours will meet you and help you with the procedures for taking your tickets and luggage. Then, you will start your first Cairo one-day tour, which begins at the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza.
In your interior, all the fascinating aspects of the combination of construction pyramids and of various Egyptian kings—Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus—will be thoroughly explained by your guide.
Later, you will be driven to Saqqara to see the mythical Step Pyramid of Djoser, built by Imhotep.
This revolutionary pyramid signified the end of the evolution of pyramid building in that it was no longer built simply as a tomb; it also served the purpose of aiding the spirit in the afterworld.

Following breakfast at the hotel, your guide and personal driver will embark on a Corsair trip to Alexandria, which is the historic city founded by Alexander the Great in 332 B.C. This city served as the capital of Egypt for almost a millennium and, at the moment, is ranked as the second most important city in the country after Cairo.
On getting to Alexandria, your tour starts with the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an underground cemetery, which began as a private tomb for the wealthy elite and was opened for the burial of others later. You will also go to see Pompey’s Pillar, Egypt’s tallest free-standing column which was erected in honor of the Roman emperor Diocletian to thank him for his support of the city of Alexandria.
Next, you will view the Mediterranean Sea, then visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, a historical landmark built in 1477 A.D at the entry of the Bay where the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria also called the Pharos was located.
After satisfying your taste buds with great seafood in a five-star restaurant, you will visit the Modern Bibliotheca of Alexandria, a library structure with a reading space, a conference hall, and a planetarium. Along the route, you will also get to view the squares and the markets of Alexandria as well as attractions such as the “unknown soldiers” and statues of modern-day politicians.
After the tour, you'll be driven back to Cairo with a stop for coffee or tea.

The last stop in this sightseeing tour is the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which used to be a church until its purchase by an investor.
In Islamic Cairo, you will walk along El Moez Ledin Ellah Street and explore; visit the Al Azhar Mosque and the famous Khan El Khalili market, where you can enjoy a sip at El Fishawy, the oldest café here.
After the tour, you will transfer back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.

Savor a delightful breakfast at your hotel, and as per standard procedure, vacate the hotel. After this step, you will get a pre-arranged transfer to the local airport in Cairo for your scheduled flight to Luxor. On reaching your destination, we will either transfer you immediately to the Luxor hotel or commence the tour of the West Bank of Luxor, depending on the time.
The excursion begins with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, where you shall enter into three of the tombs of some Kings. Later on, explore the remarkable Temple of Deir El Bahari built for Queen Hatshepsut and gaze at the Colossi of Memnon, which are the only remains of King Amenophis III's temple.
Luncheon at a local eatery will be followed by your West Bank excursion commencing at the Karnak Temple.
Stroll along the avenue of the Sphinxes and explore some of the architectural marvels, such as the Unfinished the Hall of 134 columns known as the Hypostyle Hall, the Queen Hatshepsut's Obelisk, and the sacred water body. In the end, move ahead to the Luxor Temple, known for its dramatic intricacies of sculpting in the buildings of ancient Egypt.

This journey will take you to Abu Simbel Temples which are among the most visited and photographed sites in the entire country of Egypt. These temples carved, in rocks were made by Pharaoh Ramses II to immortalize himself and his favorite wife Queen Nefertari. At the facade of the temple, there are two giant statues of Ramses II, which are breathtaking engineering feats.
Exploring the temples will take a break and retrace your steps back to Aswan around 1;00 PM. After that, you are going to be taken to Aswan Airport to take your flight to Cairo.
