Itinerary
After arriving at the NEW Cairo hotel early in the morning, you are welcome to start an incredible journey to Bahariya Oasis. This is after a 4-hour ride in a comfortable air-conditioned bus in which you will arrive at the oasis to wait for a warm welcome from our local Bedouin guide who will start your exploration.
The first one is the famous Valley of the Golden Mummies, where the locals discovered 10 remarkably standing royal mummies. After that, drive to the Tombs of the Nobles where lies the history of the rulers of the oasis. Here there is the entrance to the Tomb of Zed-Amun-Ef-Ankh and The Tomb of Bannentiu which was later expanded to a tomb for groups of people. You will also come across the Temple of Alexander, dedicated to the Macedonian King who, in his conquests, passed through Bahariya on his way to Siwa Oasis, and the Temple of Ain El-Meffetla belonging to the 26th dynasty, where four chapels were, actually found by the Egyptian archaeologists in 1939.
At the end of your historical tour, enjoy a real Bedouin meal in a local house. After being refreshed, move to the incredible White Desert. On the way to Djanet, stop to marvel at the Valley of El Haize home to the Roman aspect and the dazzling crystal mountain made from natural quartz. Last but not least, we will visit the awesome and fascinating Valley of Agabat where we see the marvelous height of the cliff formation.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Take a Bedouin-style town breakfast before driving to hot water springs to witness the beauty of the white limestone rocks specifically those that resemble mushrooms and have a natural rabbit shape and appearance in the white desert. You will then be driven back to Cairo through the green Bahariya oasis then cross the black desert that has beautiful mountains with little black volcanic stones.
Then your Bedouin guide will drive you back to the bus station after taking a tour around Salt Lake and the dunes.
